What is Donstock?
Donstock Goes Fourth is history and plans are already underway for a Fifth of Donstock to be held on June 24, 2000 (unless the world really does end) Donstock is a one day Festival to raise money for Simcoe County area folk and roots music venues. Each year has been better than the one before.
Featured musicians will include Simcoe County area folks as well as some imported talent from Toronto, Newmarket, Flesherton, Burlington and other necks of the woods. These artists are so supportive they even buy a ticket to the Festival. This year the equipment, toys and craft materials which make the Children's Area such a success are courtesy of the Community Outreach Programme from the BDAPSN. Thanks to Carolyn for setting it up and to Tamara for being so co-operative and supportive. The kids all had a great time! Watch for pictures in the next month or so.

Highlights:
Donstock Logo Winner
For the past three years, we have borrowed the ubiquitous "Guitar Guy" logo of Don's Coffeehouse fame to publicize the Donstock festival. This year we had a contest to design a new logo to adorn our posters, website,etc...
Jives got about 6 entries and chose none of them. Instead she gave a winning DONSTOCK ticket to each entrant, and designed a logo which was an amalgam of all of them. Here it is...

Write a Donstock-Themed Song
For all of you songwriters, we will again be having a Fifth of Donstock Songwriting challenge. If you are lyrically or
musically inclined (or not) simply write a Donstock inspired tune. Songwriters will have a chance to share their tunes at the end of the evening on the mainstage. (This is a great opportunity for those of you who missed out on getting a mainstage set.)

Performers’ Schedule
(I'd like to say this schedule actually happened but by the time the day was over (at 2:00am) so many folks had switched spaces, given up their spot or just fallen asleep that it seems only appropriate to enshrine it in the ozone) next year will run like clockwork! I promise.
